Sacrificed Success

Smile so boundless
Brackish tears so pure
The room freezes
They witness your breakthrough
Eyes closed with no fear
No worries
No Stress
In her arms she holds you
Blessed

She wished to hold you for eternity
Allow peaceful breath
Unfortunately your signed over
No first week of stress
Waking up in the middle of the night
Reaching out to lay you back at rest
Here is where the beginning's over
Minds sober but your signed from her

Her horrible life
Her unspoken teachings
Late night lullabies she'll never sing
She has to submit as someone else will experience you soar
Experience you walk, & hear the first "Mommy"
Experience you run, ride, and drive
Enroll in college and obtain life skills
Later gaining knowledge that their not Birth parents
Spilling confusion on to every day what ifs
Forced to pick up the yellow pages
Retrace their stages
In hope to find closure of ages
Forced courage to dial the number scared as the phone rings
A lady answers with a soft voice of warmth
You uneasily ask if she's what you would've had
She replies "Son...I'm glad you found me"

A sacrifice of such magnitude may have given him the success he obtained today. He is grateful and can now return the "favor"? Everyone who makes a tough decision may not be unable. They simply may understand that it is what's best for their second legacy.

Sacrifice isn't always bad
It may hurt now but some day success will return

Think about it...

Reality

The WANT of someone to be there for you
Attempting your hardest to return the favor
Show you really are all they have
BUT in reality their too blind

Too selfish

Too selfish to realize what's in front of them
Displaying nonchalant responses
Pretending to have no other outlet
Resorting back to plastic

One who bashed every part of them
Influenced angry decisions,
Tossed out unwelcoming advice
AND Tried to ruin their happiness & forward progress

I guess..
Reality hasn't set in yet

My Observation

I've come to realize that sadly it's true that sometimes what I say to others in an effort to help will most likely be over looked, and no matter how much I try to help most of the time it will subconsciously be taken as "thanks for the help...but I'll do it anyway" or "what you said makes sense but I'll ignore it" or "I know..but I can't help it" which leads me to tell you all ; "A hard head makes a soft ass..."

Remember that
